In championing interfaith dialogue, the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines (UNACOM) supports the project, “Establishing a Center for Women and Children for the Promotion of Peace through Interfaith Dialogue and Education.”
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) as project implementer organized the successful general assembly of 60 women participants representing the Tausug Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), Subanen indigenous people, and Christian military last June 27-28 this year..
On July 30, ADZU also launched the Center for Interfaith and Peace Education Program, which has established a database and institutional network for children’s interfaith and peace education.
Located at the Ateneo Peace Institute, the Center has developed a set of modules on how to teach interfaith dialogue and peace education among children in both the formal and informal education settings. |
